Poem title: Whispers for Freedom By: Shanvi Singh

I wanted to fly high in the sky, like an eagle set free

It’s worth a try

With sorrow, I used to think,

Oh, how wonderful would it be, if I could see

The wonders of the sky.

Living like a dead soul, I wonder, why?

Oh, I have asked a lot lately my friend,

When will I escape to the sky?

Tomorrow is life or death,

Fall or rise,

Day or night,

I barely survive,

My friend, one day will arise

When you’ll sigh and ask,

Where would you be?

Then I’ll be so high,

That you’ll wonder, Why?
